Getting to and around the festival and where to stay

WHERE IS

Minjerribah

The Quandamooka Festival is held on the Traditional land of the Quandamooka People of Moreton Bay. Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) lies 30km South East of Brisbane City, and is only 13km from the bayside suburb of Cleveland.

The Island has a static population of around 3000, but at holiday times this figure rises considerably to encompass around 30,000 people.

The Quandamooka Festival is hosted in Goompi (Dunwich), one of three townships on the Island. Located on the Western side of the Island, Goompi is where you will arrive by ferry or water taxi and is no more than a 15-minute walk from the Festival site at Ron Stark Oval.

Getting there

You will have to cross Moreton Bay on a vessel. All water taxis and ferries from the mainland to the Island leave from Nandeebie (Cleveland), and you want to take the ones that go to Goompi (Dunwich).
